IVK Interiors believe that an interior decorator is responsible for the interior decorating of residential properties, which is purely the co-ordination of soft furnishings.

Interior designers delve much deeper and interior design is about utilising design principles to enhance balance, colour, rhythm and harmony of any interior. Interior Designers work with interior structures, finishes and furnishing and the way these are lit, decorated and connected to deliver a well balanced, creative and current end product within the design principles.

Typically an Interior Decorator has completed a course of approximately a year whereas an Interior Designer has completed a relevant four year degree in Interior Design.
